Why Early Access?

With two incredibly insightful Closed Beta weekends and hundreds… okay, thousands of discussions across our social media channels and online forums, your feedback has been a core pillar of Spellcasters Chronicles’ development from the very beginning. Yes – we have read EVERY WORD. This new chapter is the natural next step in unlocking the game’s full potential.

Today, we’re thrilled that the game is now free to access, no more time-limited weekends and no exclusive invitations required. By bringing you back into the development process early and actively integrating your feedback, we will refine and improve the experience with your help, and deliver the best possible version of the game for you to play.

What's coming with this new update?

7 new powerful spells and creatures to reinforce your decks. And with that, we are adding much awaited quality of life improvements with a rework to the upgrade system and ranked mode and the introduction of spell unlock.

What's the difference with the full game?

We expect the full version of Spellcasters Chronicles to deliver a more complete and polished feature set, a deeper roster of Spellcasters, and more game modes and content than what’s available in Early Access.

In the meantime, Early Access offers a broad look at what the full game will become and we plan to roll out multiple updates that introduce new content and gameplay features, such as new customization options, a new map, spell unlocks and more to give you an even better taste of what's to come!

Game development is an evolving process, and we are committed to building this experience in close collaboration with YOU. Throughout Early Access, we’ll share our updates here, and especially in our official Discord and talk about what we’re improving openly, and listen closely to your feedback every step of the way! We’re reading feedback EVERYWHERE, so feel free to sound off in Discord but also on Steam, Reddit, and our other community spaces. And…

With Early Access, we’re inviting you to play an even bigger role in the game’s development through the Workshop. It includes multiple avenues for participation, each designed for a different kind of contribution. By involving you early, and actively listening to your feedback, we can refine and evolve the game together!
