Many tales have been told of Neredyn Valm, one of the first and most formidable Spellcasters of the western continent. Wielding sorcery unmatched in his era, he conquered the northern lands, unified the clans, and became known as the legendary Mage-Emperor of Valm.

But of all the stories surrounding his life, none is more renowned than his final stand on the Northern Shores. There, after his armies had been utterly annihilated, Neredyn alone faced a coalition of pirates, warlords, and sea-witch covens who had sworn to end his reign.

For seven days and seven nights he fought without rest. He summoned colossal spears that plunged from the sky to impale the endless armies of leviathans. He raised from the earth a titanic wall of dark iron that still splits the coastline to this day.

After that battle, Neredyn vanished without a trace, and his empire soon crumbled into ruin. Today, among these black cliffs, only remains the ashes of that ancient battlefield, the shattered ribcages of slain leviathans, and the thick metallic scent that lingers in the air like a memory of war.
